Active Watford Community Sport Network recognise that sport and physical activity should be inclusive for all regardless of peoples age, gender, race, ability, beliefs or sexual orientation. If you are a sporting club or organisation that caters for people with a disability, in this section you will find some useful information and contacts that you might want link with for help and support.

Watford Disability Forum
Watford Disability Forum are a united voice for disabiled people and thier carers, working together to influence local decision making and striving to remove barriers.
The forum exists to:
- form links between disability groups and individuals in the Watford area
- identify the needs of people with a disability in the area
- make sure local agencies are aware of these needs
- develop partnerships with statutory bodies and other voluntary and community groups to meet the needs of people with a disability
- co-operate with agencies in services delivery
- work with others to raise funds for activities that meet the needs of Watford people with disabilities
Watford Mencap
Watford Mencap offer a range of services for people with learning disabilities, including their parents and carers. They can offer advice and support and also practical help with caring and respite. Some of their exisitng schemes currently provide opportunities for leisure and play, including sports. They have a number of residential homes and two carity shops locally.
With a strong client base Watford Mencap are ideally placed to link with local community and volutary groups to increase the access to sports provision for their customers.
