October 2011 brought the second match in the Watford Fencing Club Vs St Albans Team Series, and it was the turn of the Novice Foilists, all these fencers have been fencing for less than two years.
The Watford team of Carl, Joe and Miles managed to pull a spectacular win against St Albans with a final score of 34 – 45.
December 2011 brought the final county event of the year to our door where our home venue The Princess Marina Sports Complex hosted the Herfordshire Fencing Association – Senior Mixed Competition which put men and women on the same pistes in a really fun event.
Newcomer to Fencing Joe Wright walked away with the "Best Place Novice" medal and a final ranking of 10th out of 22 at his very first county competition!

1 November 2011– Watford Herts, – 24-7 Lucente, the prestige car valeting company and part of the 24-7 Group of companies is supporting the local Under 10s Evergreens football team and has paid for the team’s new football kit. The team based in Abbots Langley was promoted to Division 1 this season in the West Herts Youth League.
Graham Bell of the 24-7 Group said, “We believe in supporting groups in the local community as much as possible and are delighted to be able to supply Evergreen’s Under 10s with a really fabulous kit. You can’t really live in this area and not be interested in Football. We hope they have a fantastic season”.
