Officers & Training

It is recommended that all clubs appoint a Child Protection Officer. This volunteer can help the club to develop and implement the child protection procedures, as well as be the first point of contact for concerns about a childs welfare.

Specific training is available for Child Protection Officers and it recommend that appointed officers complete a Sport Coach UK – Safeguarding and Protection Children Workshop. To book onto a course near you please visit the Hertfordshire Sports Partnership website.
